.25 mg jump off?

Recommended Posts

I have been on .25 mg of Ativan for the last 4 days. Feeling ok, should I jump off now? And does .25 mg of Ativan even make a difference. Doesn't feel like it's doing anything. Thanks

I jumped at .25 mgs , maybe wait a week and see how you feel!

Do you think .25 mg is doing anything. I cant feel it.

Honestly towards the end of my taper, I didnt really feel anything either but i guess its individual so do what feels best:)

How much have you been cutting at once? If you have been tapering with .25mg cuts this whole time, then maybe you'll be ok. Otherwise, cut smaller before jumping.

If you keep adjusting to even smaller cuts, you can mitigate what might come with jumping.

You could probably jump from this dose, but as another poster stated, tapering lower could help prevent any major issues once you jump, even if you don't feel like it is doing anything for you.  Of course, there is no way to know whether you will get hit with major symptoms after you jump, but you don't want to stop and then have to reinstate because things are too tough.  If I were you, I would cut the dose at least one more time for a week or two before stopping.  Then again, some people can stop at this dose and be completely fine, while others get slammed after a few days.

I was just worried that such a low dose. Could make things worse, because it is to low of a dose. I feel about 90 percent better. Just not sleeping, I am no longer scared. I see light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you all for your response

Well, don't know Ativan equivalents so can not say if .25 is a lot or not. Maybe you should dig in what are typical Ativan jump amounts/points. You can enjoy about good feeling and it would be big mistake to spoil your mood and feelings by jumping from too high level and get severe w/d symptoms. I would double check point of jump which is safe in case of being in your situation. Well might be that .25 is totally ok just as said i do not have an idea. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

Ok, I jumped its been 2 days. Cant sleep and not feeling good. I wanted to take a sleeping pill (Ambien). I didn't do it, I got 2 hours sleep. Woke up with feeling of dread and anxiety. Cant seem to shack the anxiety. Is this my anxiety returning? or is this withdraw.

If. You can't sleep, see if you can get Remeron. I made the switch yesterday from Klonipen to Valium, did not take my Melatonin or Tylenol PM and couldn't sleep. At 2:00am I took the 7.5 generic Remeron and slept until 10:00am. Ahhhh....was great.

See is you can get Remeron from your doc. I jumped from Klonipen to to Valium yesterday and didn't take my usual 2 melatonin and Tylenol PM. Couldn't sleep. At 2:00pm took my first generic Remeron prescribed and slept until 10:00am. Ahhhhh...sweet.

Remeron made me sick, can't take it. Sucks I know it works for a lot of people. Even the ambien gives me depression in the morning.this is my second day off and I'm crying for no reason. Negative thoughts and anxiety. Does your old anxiety come back with withdraw, I can't control this anxiety. My old anxiety before Ativan I could control. I wasn't this bad, should I reinstate to .25mg. Feels like I am going crazy.

I'd probably reinstate, wait to stabilize and then go slowly.  I'd taper down very low.  A little extra time tapering could make a big difference in your post-taper experience/recovery.

I am going to see what happens tomorrow. Go from there, thank you!
