well - this is truly unreal.  i was a fitness guru my whole life.  never a pound overweight  never smoked.  never did drugs.  worked out 6 days a week.  eat organic.  don't drink except on special occasions.  after the 1st valium withdrawal i developed atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia and atrial fibrillation.  it took 2 surgeries to repair that.  then on the 2nd valium withdrawal - i just returned from the cardiologist this morning - i now have sinus tachycardia - the only arrthymia i did not have before and that was not repaired.  they want me to start a beta blocker but i don't want to.  my body is having terrible reactions to anything right now - even vitamin c.  i will fill the script and keep it on hand in case things get worse but i feel like i won't know if things are getting better if i take it.  so - will hope to start seeing improvement soon.

I have heart issues as well but each flutter, arythmia and "angina" event was only benzo related. Maybe you should consider waiting before your wd is over before you start getting more surgerys. Afib is relatively harmless. Many people have it unawares. There is a huge distinctiin between actual heart chest pain and benzo wd chest pain. When you have actual heart chest pain you absolutely know for sure it is your heart. Good luck.

i had the heart surgeries before understanding that valium withdrawal from my spine surgery is what caused the problem..... i didnt connect the dots right away :( ..... but in my case the a-fib was so severe i could not function.  it was running 80+ % of the day and i could not breathe or work.

the tachycardia is nothing in comparison to the other arrthymias so i will ride it out.  just unreal how much damage this medication can do and i do hope this goes away with time and does not require another surgery - i cannot see going through a 3rd - very tough procedures and not sure how they'd do them without using medications that jeopardize the withdrawal process.  i just really don't want to take a beta blocker.  my heart rate has been remaining around 100 - if i take supplements then it gets pushed up and so i've stopped all of those...
