GOING NUTS: ON KLONIPEN/VALIUM, ZOLOFT, GABAPENTIN. STOPPED OXY

You can imagine the fun time I'm having!  :D  I suffer from chronic pain and have been on and off Oxycodone, Valium since 2012 and Gabapentin since 2016. Started antidepressants on and off 2016.

I just weaned down and stopped Oxycodone July 26. Tried KRATOM four days and stopped that. I'm sure I feel crappy because I'm going through Oxycodone w/d.

Now I'm using Ashton Method to transfer .5mg Klonipen to Valium so I can stop.

I want to stop the Zoloft and the Gabapentin too, but intense neurological pain makes for anxiety of nervous system (so do doctors drugs!!!).

Suggestions on what to wean down after I stop benzos. Hold on Gabapentin and Zoloft? The longer I take it, the more havoc it will do to my system...and so will my pain. Since I'm only taking 100mg of Gabapentin at night, I'm sure I'm having rebound pain from it. What would you do? Suggestions?

Youch!!

Similar in ways to my story. Got hurt bad (stroke, headaches) .. used to be quite a good athlete ..

Oxy First

Got Epilepsy

K, Gabapentin, Keppra next (all anti-seizure meds)

Then Psych said (you have to be depressed, you've lost so much). Prozac, then Zoloft, Effexor (that was a bitch to get off), Wellbutrin (which kinda worked).

Then I managed to clip to Oxy off my diet ... Effexor arguably worse.

Then I got a Neuro that knows something. Made me turkey off Wellbutrin (causes seizures .. in an epileptic). Lexapro next. Didn't help, threw it away.

The plan, Gabapentin first (slow .. i'm on 800mgs 3 times a day), then K to about half the dose because of rebound seizures and wait a year before going lower. Keppra forever, not adverse side effects. Kidney test every 3 months. If you can DO NOT DRINK Alcohol. It will take approx. 3 years she says. She know benzo w/d so said there may beways to speed it up in a hospital. Go under an old school tranq in an controlled setting, then try the to work on the glutamate side of things to counteract. FYI. I'm not a doctor and it she said it is only a study. But since i'm years away from that point, who knows. I have been on 6 mgs K for 19 years so she know it is going to be a bad one for me.

Sorry for the ramble.

Everybody online says Effexor is awful to get off.  I have some in the house, and took a little of it, but when I found out how awful it is to get off, I didn't feel like going through the pain of getting onto it.

Good luck with all of your tapers....you'll get there.
