So at night I got a really bad muscle pain in my calf thought maybe it'll be away over night but still woke up with it & now I have his uneasiness in my chest and I can't breathe. I think I can't breathe cause of anxiety because ANY calf pain you kinda think it's a damn blood clot .

So right now I'm shaking and it does hurt a bit to walk on the leg . I figured I'd see my doctor but she doesn't have a free appointment till Monday & it's only Wednesday .

Not sure if this qualifies for an ER visit as I've been there about 25 times this year and I don't think I'm over exaggerating . :-[

I have severe calf pain due to benzos.  My right thigh, calf and foot hurt all the time.  I would think it is withdrawal related but if you think its a clot don't mess around.  Get it checked. :)--V

Came to the ER

& they immediately discharged me .

Told me I don't have the symptoms of a blood clot .

Didn't run any blood work or ultrasound .

So annoyed .

That's ridiculous.  I've had 2 PEs from blood clots in my legs prior to benzos. It doesn't take much to do an ultrasound.  Sorry you had to go through the "ER experience" that many of us have gone through on this benzo journey. :)--V

Valley, think i should go back?

the doctor examined my leg and assured me it wasnt a blood clot.

the back of my calf doesn't hurt purse but it feels extremely tight, like it needs to be stretched. but because I'm so terrified its a blood clot i fear if i massage it or anything it'll dislodge the blood clot.

im paranoid, i know.

I don't know what to tell you.  When I had the clots in my legs they were painful to touch and hurt if I brushed against anything.  I have a clotting disorder (finally discovered after the 2 PEs). If it feels tight, chances are it's probably not a clot.  If you are really worried you could try an instant care.  It was an instant care that initially found the clots in my legs.  They are much easier to work with than an ER.  When I had my second PE they tried to brush me off and put off doing a scan for an hour while I sat and waited. SMH.  :)--V

So I woke up & my calf no longer hurts .

Just stupid muscle pain ? Or could the clot have dislodged and traveled now ?

I'm so paranoid 😥

Most likely just muscle as you may not read a lot on it but benzo withdrawal does effect muscles nerves but if it comes back why not get it checked out so you can put your mind at ease ! This all part of benzo withdrawal  i mean the health anxiety that comes with it so know your not alone.

So sorry you are dealing with this...I have the same fears. I have a clotting disorder and have had many blood clots before so every time I have chest or leg pain I instantly think that's what it is :( been driving myself crazy about it!!! If it is a clot the pain wouldn't go away and it would start swelling but there's no way to know for sure without getting it checked that's what makes it so scary. I deal with this constantly now and it's so frustrating. If you have any other symptoms of a clot you should definitely have it checked out for sure! I have to talk myself out of going to the ER have been several times in the past 2 months and they don't take me seriously either. I thought I was having a stroke when my arm went completely numb but they basically said its not a stroke and sent me home. Having servere health anxiety along with Benzo WD is like a real nightmare!!! I hope you are feeling better now! If you really think something is wrong it's always best to find out for sure to put your mind at ease even if it turns out to be nothing. The worry is really hard to deal with sometimes. My insurance provider hates me now I'm sure cuz of all the times I've been to the dr or the ER recently lol

I get these all the time.  Both calves get so cramped up and hurt soooo bad.  Then it started going to my thighs, too.  The other night was the first night I only had it in one leg (a little in the foot of that leg, too) so I look at that as a sign of improvement as only one leg now :)

Let me tell you what I do that has helped soooooo much with this and hope it will help you, too.  I use those leg wraps.  You know those things that wrap around your legs and then you fasten with the little pins not sure what they are called (they make them with velcro too).  I wrap them firmly - not so tight you cut off the circulation or anything but just a nice firm wrap.

I can get 50% - 75% relief from doing this.  I don't know what I would do without my legs wraps and I don't know why it works so well - but it does work for me and maybe it will work for you, too... :smitten:

I have been having pain in my right leg for a while now and it's starting to worry me too but no other symptoms so I'm hoping it's nothing serious! I hope your leg issues have gone away now for good!
