I'm so devastated. 6 months after only 8 weeks on klonopin and my anxiety, depression, head pressure and tinnitus are unbearable.

How can this still be withdrawal? I took it for such a short time and really had no psych issues before.

I feel like the acception to the rule and I am somehow permanently damaged. I don't know what to do or who to turn to.

Can this really be this bad for such a short term user? It doesn't make any sense that my withdrawal is 5 times longer than my taking the drug.and I had no psych issues before. I don't know what to do

Hang in there!!  These drugs can greatly affect certain people (like me) and it can take a long time to get back to "normal".  I took Ativan for 3 months and here I am still not doing great at 6 months off.  We are all in this mess together!!

Hey there,

I was also a short term user and CT'd after around 6 weeks of daily use. I am still getting better, but I hit a huge setback around month 6 as well. Things have definitely improved since then, but I still deal with the coming and going of symptoms. Eventually they will be gone completely, so do your best to hang on.

Hang in there. I was a short term ativan user and have had a very very tough recovery. It seems unimaginable, but that's how powerful the drugs are. Just keep on keeping on. Healing does happen and you will likely feel better than you ever have in your life when you're through it.

thanks sarah. I've seen your posts about skincare setting you off. I did put a bunch of lotion on at bedtime last night and woke up in an acute level wave so maybe I have that sensitivity too

I really hope things get better for you soon! This is insanely ridiculous! Seems so unfair to have to suffer for so long after only short term use! I have a feeling I'm going to be stuck like this for quite a while as well.

having yet another unprovoked panic attack.  IF i actually manage to sleep its from 830pm to 1230pm.  but at 9pm the panic attack started.  breathing never works - i feel like these chemically induced panic attacks don't respond to normal techniques..... up till now - i could usually figure out a trigger but did absolutely nothing different than previous few days which were good...... today is day 48 - so it seems i have a long way to go and not sure how we are to keep enduring this without any reliable form of relief.  i punched my mattress as hard as i could and prayed for relief....... so , alas i find myself back on the couch watching a movie praying it gets my brain out of this.  supposed to leave for vacation tomorrow evening and have no idea how to suffer through this away from my house and in front of my family.  i live alone so no one has really had to witness this......

Hi friends

I'm the most short user of you,  only 1 week on 4.5 mg bromazepam, i think it's don't sold on usa,  cause i'm from morocco,.

Only 1 week use,  and i'm now suffering from tinnitus and insomnia,  first 10 days was the worst with the insomnia,  it's still now with tinnitus but i can sleep now such a 3/4 hours and my tinnitus starting to go up and down,  i hope this stuff will go away.

And i hope to all of you a fast recovery

These damn pills are so destructive to our brains and CNS. Unfortunately the damage they do to our GABA receptors can occur in a fairly brief amount of time (I read somewhere 9 days) and due to the complex nature of the damage done it takes many months or years to heal, regardless of how long you where actually on them for. We are all in this together, it seems unfair, but at least it will come to an end one day and we will be our happy selves again.
