I've been doing a direct taper off 1 mg clonazepam, started off by cutting a .5 in half, then cut the half down to 1/4 at my last drop. The first reduction wasnt all that bad but it's been several weeks since the last drop and I'm functional enough to work but it's been harder and insomnia is kicking it. I know if I try to direct taper all the way down it will get worse and while I believe I can do it I need to hold down my job. My wife is also very understanding but me being in bad w/d is hard on her, 2.5 years ago I had a situation where I ran out before my refill and she saw me in full blown c/t and it really freaked her out to meet Mr. Hyde.

So I bought a 100 ml basting syringe and mortar and want to try a liquid titration. I'm hoping if I start by dropping 10ml of liquid at first and maybe 5ml drops when I get to 50ml I can coast down easier than cutting pills in 1/4 without a complex taper schedule to maintain exact 10% drops.

I'm open to suggestions here but really hate math, calculating the first 10% drop is easy, and gets confusing after that as obviously dropping 10ml each time becomes a larger and larger drop, but would allow me to get the .5mg pill into even 1/10 or even 1/20 instead of 1/4.

Am I making sense at all and does anyone have advice?

You make sense and hopefully someone good with math will come on here and help. There is a liquid titration board on here with built in math gurus who can help you develop a plan too! It usually is a good idea to go slower as you go lower and liquid should make dosing much easier. Good luck!
