Other psych meds

I notice a lot of you are tapering off other psych meds. Is there a benefit to this I'm not aware of? I had sort of come to terms with the idea that I'd be taken certain medications for the duration. Is there a good reason to consider going off?

I went off prozac and zyprexa.  I felt better, a lot better.

Of course there is a benefit. Most people feel better being off drugs.

Again it depends on the person.  Some people may need to be on some psych meds.  I think it can be tricky to say that all meds are not useful.  Sometimes they are, but benzo's are NEVER useful long-term.... IMHO.
