There are a bunch of fires around Washington right now and the air quality is in the unhealthy range. Its making me feel very ill but i am the only person i know around here having a horrible reaction to it all. Do you think i am hypersensitive to it because i am recovering from benzos? I am worried i am developing pneumonia or bronchitis because of the symptoms i am experiencing but then i question the symptoms because they are all symptoms from benzo recovery as well. I keep getting those bullshit thoughts in my head like "your going to die from this" etc you know what im talking about. ( i can sort those thoughts out but the question remains)

I cant really get away from the bad air because its everywhere . I have been staying inside but its still effecting me. I live in a old house too so im sure its not keeping the air out very well. Anyone else experience this with unhealthy air quality?

Thanks in advance

Remy

I'm in western Montana and the smoke here is horrible.  I was gone for a week and came back to this 6 days ago.  I have also been in a horrific wave with severe physical symptoms for 4 nights now... Coincidence?  Probably, but it does make me wonder if bad air can stir the pot.

I am below you in the Nor State of Calif near Mt Shasta. We have fires and the usual 106 degree weather and our air quality is awful. There is an inversion layer over all of the Pacific Northwest. I have been out for most of the day and I am wiped , and yes it does rack up any symptoms you may be having.

But , like everything else it will pass. Our gorgeous Fall weather will be here and we will be fine. Think falling leaves and gentle rain.

I think this is a possibility. I moved out of the city (Detroit, which is p dirty, to say the least) to the burbs when in benzo withdrawal. Every time I go down there and to my old house I feel myself getting sick, I can't stand it.

Can you afford to get an air purifier for your apartment? That will help.

I am in BC, Canada.  The air quality and heat are really bad ... worse sxs are burning nerve pain and insomnia so  making things worse ... feels unbearable ... can't do my daily walk and so hot in house having to keep windows closed ... fans don't help much.

Hopefully Remy, you are starting to feel better this morning, as it is clearing up a lot! Nice cool onshore flow last night. I've also been feeling quite ill the last few days, sleep was not good, eyes burning, and felt like I had the flu yesterday. And I am generally pretty darn healthy (no longer really in withdrawal). So I can't imagine that anyone in withdrawal could feel good.

But last night I slept about 9 hours and the cool fresh air was sooo wonderful! I really feel for those in BC, where it must be a lot worse, and probably ongoing.

Dang--just looked at the forecast, and they are predicting "widespread smoke" after 11 AM. So it looks like it is back, and maybe around until Monday.... :(
