Is it safe to go in coastal waters with low immunity?

So I know we have low immune systems, and people with such are discouraged from entering bacteria infested waters. Do you reckon I am safe to go in the waters? Am I being paranoid or is it justified?

Maybe avoid it if you have any cuts that are still healing so they don't get infected  with the local bacteria. Otherwise I think you'd be ok.
