Well I thought I'd come back at three months pregnant to give you ladies an update. My morning/all day sickness is much better at 12 weeks. It comes and goes now...usually it rears it's ugly head in the evenings. My morning and afternoon depression is still present and more intense from the hormones. I'm hoping things improve more over the next few weeks. I get my break from the depression around 6pm, like I used to before pregnancy.

I also have more interrupted sleep for some reason. I wake up every 3-4 hours, then 1-2 hours once I hit 6 hours. I don't get the random nights of solid sleep as often anymore, although I did have one a couple days ago. My one friend is also pregnant and sensitive to these hormones, and she also has interrupted sleep throughout all her pregnancies. So I'm thinking it's a normal thing.

Distraction is my best friend. I constantly research things about the baby now, so my focus has shifted. I no longer really care about withdrawal, even though I'm still in it and suffering. It's like I have a bigger purpose for my life now. I'm doing household things, like painting (with masks and windows open), decorating, cleaning, and yardwork. It's been fun!

My baby is healthy!!! Just had my Nuchal Transleucency Test, and the baby is within normal range, and has a nasal bone!! I'm still waiting on the blood work results, but I have a good feeling about it. Things are honestly going great! God has blessed me with such a gift! And I've actually lost five pounds during this pregnancy! Lol I'm sure I'll gain weight once my appetite returns. Women can have babies during withdrawal. We are stronger then we think.  ;)

Congratulations!  Great news, so happy for you.  Glad the morning sickness is waning.  But like you, with my first pregnancy, I mostly had morning sickness at night.  Makes sense though-this child always had his days and nights mixed up.

Wishing you well.

Yes, distraction is good and you are doing all the right things.  You have so much to look forward to, a new baby is such joy.

So happy for you, BHealthy - this is such a lovely time in life, when these amazing little people join the family.

Mine are all grown up now, but every step of the way, they've been hilarious company, even in the worst of times. The biggest adjustment I had to make after I had my first child was to stop accidentally saying, 'I have to take her to the vet.' That slipped out a few times before the looks of horror cured me of repeating that little error.

Congratulations! I am so happy for you. I want to have a baby sometimes next year too. I'm almost 14 months out now and still suffering some days . I am about 75% better but still having symptoms hoping would heal soon so can have a baby.
