Maybe the booze...

I started having increased anxiety, ocd type symptoms and other symptoms around the same time that I started having a few beers here and there. Anyone else experience this?  While comforting to know, frustrating. Anyone? I am almost 9 months post jump from long term use of k.

Alcohol affected me a little differently when I first started drinking again.  It felt fine at first, but 4-5 hours later, I'd feel kind of weird.  Like mild withdrawal symptoms that would last a few hours then stop.  Each time I drank, that withdrawal-like feeling lessened until it was gone.

 

Go easy on the booze until you see how you get along with it.  Work your way back up slowly.  Don't overwhelm your newly-healed gaba system.

Alcohol has sent many people back into withdrawal, even many who had been "healed" for many months.  It works on GABA receptors, just like benzos.  Be careful with alcohol.  If you continue drinking, even occasionally, there is a possibility of setting yourself back quite a bit.

I have been off for a year and was drinking I'm 4 months without it and doing much better, I stopped a few times then started again, from my experience stay the hell away from it you won't heal if you don't, TRUST ME!! It was pure hell for 3 months when I stopped the third time its more manageable now but still not near perfect. If I stopped last august with the booze I'd prob be healed by now but I made the bad decision to drink all that time. Its no different really then benzos does this make sense guys?
