AM 4 MONTHS CLEAN FROM KRATOM....BUT GETTING IN SOME TROUBLE(ETZI) WITH MY BENZO

Seems like this board is really begging for attention with so many of us wanting to be FREE.  After going through the hell of kratom wd's, I must/want very much to titrate the benzo.  However, I'm in a bit of trouble at the moment figuring out how to stabalize after adding etzi to the picture.  I had to go to rehab forthe k it was so hard to stop.  That dr. switched me to valium which i hated but probably just because of PAWS from k..........in any case, I need help from someone. But with so many asking I do understand its a lot to ask.

anyone out there that can help me figure out my baseline? I have titrated before and ALMOST got there....but ooops....life got super hard...blah, blah,blah....

This time I WILL because I want so much to be free and to think straight....and feel like a total human again. Oh,I am prescribed 30 mgs tenazapan but keep adding etzi to the mix just tobe clearb withmy issue here establishing baseline.

Thanks if you can.  BBE

Hey there,

Just thought I'd let you know that you aren't he only one that got severe wds from Kratom. I got off Kratom almost 5 months ago, and still have lingering symptoms. The first 3 months I had serious anxiety, a few panics which I've never had before, and severe vision problems. The last two months have been better for me, but I still have a little lingering anxiety, smaller panic moments which haven't really turned into anything thank god, my eyesight still twitches a little, and insomnia is now getting a little better.

Kratom wds was no joke.

If you don't mind me asking, what were your wds like? And for how long?

I am still suffering but at this point its mostly from being all over the place with different benzos.  I really want to get off of them but no one here replies.

Kratom sucks....turned me into a souless empty shell.

check out quittingkratom at reddit ...very good support for kratom quitters.  But sounds like you nipped it in the biud!!  Folks have no idea what they are gettting into with kratom.  The wd for many is very very difficult because it affects so many (unknown) receptors.  its more like withdrawing from an opiate, a benzo and an ssri all at the same time IMHO.as always.:)

Exactly! I couldn't have said that any better. Kratom is a beast of a wd, just because it affects so many different areas. That's why I came here because I could actually relate to benzo withdrawers. I've been to that Reddit page before, but found better support here.

I still have some vision issues 5 months out, and it's maddening still sometimes. Hope I get back to ge way I was before all this.

What kind of symptoms are you struggling with still?

extreme exhaustion, depression, anxiety......but its so hard to tell what is from the benzo now that kratom isn't blurring everything.

I'd like to know how long and how much of Kratom you took. I only took it for 5 days to try because I weaned and stopped my Oxycodone.

Had the worst brain fog and PAWS ever. I averaged between 3/4 teaspoon to 1 3/4 teaspoon.

I don't know if my tingles and brain frog is from benzos or the kratom. Never had headaches or head pressure in my life before. Now I have a strange feeling in my head every day.

Hi Scrappy,

I still struggle with tinnitus. Also sometimes out of the blue, I can't deal with negative conversations or intense ones. It's weird. It' s like they make me feel sick. I have to cut short and openly change the convo. Other times I am fine. I don't deal with too much stress well. I basically have to be in my own controlled world pretty much.

So, I do my thing. Work and watch cool videos and stuff. I spend most of my time with my husband anyway. We get along great and he understands where I am at for the most part.

So I struggle with the ringing almost 7 months out but I have noticed it less some days. Food affects me a lot still. I have to be careful even taking supplements because I will jerk. Its my neck arms and legs that jerk when I am either falling asleep or asleep. So Jerking and tinnitus. Sometimes the jerking is more but for the most part, it's a lot less... Those were my worst symptoms after all the dizziness and cramps passed in acute or whatever those weeks and months of hell were.

I see you still have dizziness. Seems like we all have a few things still hanging on. They say it takes about a year!!! Can you freakin believe after just taking something for a 2 month period can cause this? I mean I lost hearing in my left ear!!! I am not deaf, but I lost a bit. Not happy about that and of course don't want to lose anymore!!!

Nice to read you're still around. Most of us will disappear from here once we are healed. But it's nice to meet here and chat...

Thank you...

Wow, didn't realize that kratom was that addicting. I used it to get off 1mg of Suboxone over a year ago. Did any of you guys ever experience withdrawal from heroin or methadone by any chance? Methadone WD is horrid. I was about 19 when I had it though and was a beast back then. I went CT off 10g of red vein indo kratom when I got admitted to a psych hospital in July 2016. I was taking the kratom for about 6 months at this point after being on Suboxone for a year. I'm no stranger to suffering though. The kratom wd made me feel extremely lethargic and confused to the point I just passed out on a bean bag is the visitors section. I did take Ativan to get through those 2 days of withdrawal I had. After that, I was extremely agitated and fucked up but I was being held against my will too. That was a huge setback for me. Set back my benzo quit date by 6 months by going to that dreaded hospital. When so many things happen to you it is hard to pinpoint what causes what. I also quit phenibut cold turkey as well when I went to that hospital. They did give me baclofen the second day. The first night was wild when they gave me a shot with Haldol and Ativan and stuck my in a room with a killer, who threatened to murder me the following morning. I sensed danger as I drooled myself to sleep. First and last shot of Haldol I'll ever get.

Sunny!

Long time since we last talked! It's good to hear back from ya :) I'm sorry the ringing is still there. I've got ringing still going on for me too. I'm pretty sure the ringing is accompanied with our vestibular nerve which can bring on a host of other side effects like I've got with my eyes/ears/headaches. But I've had some pretty good days also. It sounds like we've gotten some windows which is a sign we WILL get there. And yes, a year or more of healing does feel crazy. But it's like I've said before, I've accepted it being I willfully was involved with drugs knowing I shouldn't have, like a bad boy lol. So I accept that it has damaged me. As long as God can use me in a positive way through this, I'm happy . Anyways, don't be such a stranger! It's nice keeping up with friends that went through similar stuff, and can keep eachother laughing like we have before lol.

Mamoot,

You're dang right Kratom is a lot crazier than people think. The problem with Kratom is that it has so many different chemicals in it that it acts like a plethora of drugs all combined in one to cause one giant nuke of a withdrawal. You literally feel like you withdrawal from heroin/oxy/methadone/benzo/antidepressants and more all at the same time. It hits ALL the receptors that these drugs hit. Yet people don't understand that. Anyways, I was the same with you when I ct'd, I also ending up having bronchitis as well so I ended taking antibiotics, robitussim, Ativan, and more all in the same week and I'm pretty sure that concoction is what made everything worse for me. I still to this day cannot point to which drug affected me like it did bc I took so many. So I feel ya. I do believe however that I was affected mostly from Kratom though if I had to guess.
