Hi, I'm the girlfriend of someone who has been very bad effected by benzodiazepines and is now educating herself for her loved one. He finished his taper, but is still struggling with lots of symptoms. He would like to see if there are other people having similar symptoms.

We are always happy to welcome new members supporting close ones going through withdrawal. Withdrawal from benzos can be a very lonely place. Having family and loved ones support is so important. 

 

Withdrawal can be one of the most challenging and frightening experiences that a person can go through.  I'm so sorry that your boyfriend continues to have symptoms, this is not unusual.  It will get better given more time, so tell him to hang in there. Please give him our Congratulations on being benzo free.!

 

I don't know if you are familiar with the Ashton Manual, It is an excellent resource about these types of medication and their effect on the body.
