GI distress, headaches / migraines etc etc

I deal with horrible sleep deprivation but along with that comes severe GI distress, headaches and migraines etc.  It's soul destroying  :'(

Has anyone else dealt with these sxs and did it resolve? Need some reassurance as its wearing me down and makes healing even more difficult .

Thanks,

Blue

I feel you completely right now... I haven't slept in about 2 days, and my gut's on fire. I'm searching for solutions as well. Making diet and lifestyle changes certainly helped with my GI stuff, but the lack of sleep and the stress of that is bring it right back.

I was totally ignorant about benzos the entire time I was on it. I thought I was just suffering from IBS or something. Insomnia's probably the hardest thing I'm dealing with right now and it feels like it's soul destroying for sure. I don't have a solution for you but I am suffering with you.

somuchregretsithurt....I'm sorry that you are dealing with disgusting insomnia too. It certainly is soul destroying and the lack of sleep does fuel GI distress.  Hang in, hopefully we will both get a break soon!

Blue,

I used to get either a migraine or severe headache every single day. For years. With wd I had daily nausea and diarrhea for 2 years (some of that time was when I was off and on benzos and other drugs). Now I get a mild headache every week or two, no migraines, am only nauseated when I'm sick and have mostly normal stools. It DOES get better the longer your off the benzo. For some of us the drug just totally whacks our our system!

Yes I agree these meds do a real nasty number on some of us  :(  The migraines and cluster headaches have gotten so much worse for me and I was hoping that the GI distress would have calmed down by now....but I'm sure you are right that the further we are away from benzos, the better we will start feeling. I still have to taper off remeron, I just hope it's not as bad as benzos!

Thank you for all your support, MT!... :)
