Off since September, now wicked tension headaches!

Not sure if this is a wd sx or just too much iPad time or both.  They start at the base of my skull/upper neck and reach up and around my ears and temples and across my forehead.  Worse on the right side.  There seems to be so sort of correlation with how hot it is outside as well.

 

Anyone else have these?  Pain Mede don't touch it, going to try flexeril later.  Right now I have a cold pack strapped around my neck.

 

Other than this I'm 99% back to normal and sx free!

I did read on another site about tensions headaches exactly like you describe. They also said to avoid extreme heat bc we dehydrate easy. I would suggest a medical massage, I swear by them. Great stress reliever too! My hopes for a speedy recovery for you.

I get this but I also have a bad spine. I took flexeril and it did not treat me well, it's also very very hard on the stomach so be careful!

 

I've being doing yoga stretches daily and slowly building core muscles. Yoga is the only thing that will fix this problem. Medication is a temporary fix with negative side effects. Look into yoga perhaps!

I get a lot of these.  I have a hand held massager which I use to pummel the back of my shoulders which helps a little.  Also if you look up on YouTube for exercises to help neck and shoulder tension, that helps too.  As someone else already said, make sure you drink plenty of water.
