Its not so easy to taper when on 2 different kinds of Klon, measuring and cutting accurately very hard with certain pills...

 

I have no idea how to be accurate when one pill is a 2mg Roche and the other is either a Mylan or an Accord .5 pill, so different sizes, weights, difficulty cutting accurately.

 

I am trying to taper off of a nightly bedtime dose of 2 1/2 Klon.....

Sorry I did not clarify, that I have to ration the 2mg pills because of limited supply of them, so I cannot just take a full 2mg and taper off the .5 pill, I have to take some of the 2mg pill which is very hard to make tiny cuts after making the initial 4 way cuts.

Every brand of pill has a different weight. I would suggest sticking with one if at all possible because as you get lower in dosage it will become more significant.

I can't quote all the feedback here that I question, so here goes:

 

right now i cannot use the same mg pill and brand for the .5 pill- the pharmacy was out of Mylan- so they had to give me Accord, and the other pill HAS to be a different mg-  roche 2mg until I get low enough to use just the one I am RX'd. Its possible I can the .5 pills constant while tapering the 2mg Roche - but that means the problem of using old pieces and shavings exposed to handling and oxygen.

 

How do folks taper if we know that the distribution is 1) uneven 2) a poss of potency due to handling and oxygen eposure for a dry taper.

 

Maybe the Clonazepam is more delicate ?

 

How many weeks have people used old, handled pill pieces and shavings/powder and were sure  of full potency ?

 

How taper can still work if potency is not evenly distributed ?
