Help after detox...dealing with WD

I'm trying to get as much information as I can for my adult daughter (who doesn't like to look stuff up) as she deals with the WD symptoms of 6 mg of Klonopin for several years. Tapered with Librium and now on 1mg at night. Problem is SEVERE leg pain! Have tried all OTC relievers and massage and staying active. But what to do for the pain? Time??

Hi Nanneyboat  Welcome to the forum.

We are always happy to welcome new members supporting close ones going through withdrawal.  I thank you sincerely for being there for your daughter.  Withdrawal from benzos can be a very lonely place, family support and support from people who understand is vital.  Is she off the Klonopin and on Librium or is she on both benzodiazepines?. I am sorry she is having a rough time, withdrawal symptoms are awful but they are temporary.

How fast is she tapering? Benzodiazepines should be tapered slowly.  It is suggested cutting between 5% and 10% of the daily dose every 10 - 14 days according to how the person is feeling.  We have a great community, members have been through all aspects of benzodiazepine use and withdrawal, they will share their experiences with you.

Firstly, I would recommend that you have a read through,  It is a valuable resource and outlines some of what one might experience, and also gives some withdrawal schedules.
