6 months off Valium today

Whew I'm tired. I have mixed feelings about this milestone, I thought I would be a lot further along than I am. But looking back, I've come a long way too. The first two months were rough, things are more stable now, but I still have symptoms. Lots of fatigue but sleep has improved since the beginning. My brain feels tired and apathetic too, guess it's part of the recovery battle. But I'm grateful to feel well enough to finally take a vacation to visit family in a few weeks, I'll actually be getting on a plane. I couldn't imagine doing that during taper/acute. I'm so looking forward to getting back to doing normal things.

Congratulations Grapejuice,  you should be so proud of yourself.  Take it easy, symptoms will take a while to go completely. enjoy your vacation..you have earned it.

Hi Grape, good to hear you are well enough to travel and vacation, I am at 5 months off and have been traveling but just recently I have had a bit of a setback, nothing that will stop me but I have got a lot of tiredness and my muscles/ joints are aching and painful, I think this is just the 6 month wave hitting a little early and fully expect it to lift in not too long.
