what strain of pot?

All I ever got from smoking pot was panic attacks. But now I understand that there are new strains of medical marijuana. I have a marijuana seeds website with a shit load of strains. It's legal in Massachusetts so I can grow my own. Can anyone make any suggestions as to what strain I should grow?

Hi erniej,

Hopefully the knowledgeable buddies here will see this thread. All I know is that it is recommended by others here that we only use Indica strains and 1:1 edibles, I have 1:1 vape pen too. I'm really new to cannibis, so I have just been trying to follow along here, there are a couple of active threads about this. I wish I knew how to direct you to them, but I still am not very good at navigating this site.

That's OK. I sell about 25 strains. I don't anything about them. I was going to grow some just because I can now. My friend Skip keeps asking where he can get some. If I grow some maybe he would stop by more often. And we could get f**ked up.;)

I can buy everything I need to grow it right from my website. Grow lites, Hydroponic kits, how to grow guides, bongs.

Their making pot legal and trying to ban Kratom. Go figure.

Be careful. I know right now in MA we can grow up to 10 plants as Medical Marijuana patients, I guess originally they only intended to let patients grow if they applied for and received a "hardchip"allowance, but the channels are not put in place so for now all patients can grow their own medicine here. Are you a patient?

You don't need to be a patient in Massachusetts. Where did you hear that? The only changes that they want to make is being able to raise the tax on pot products and give town more control over sales or to not allow sales.

I talked to one of those people. They try to scare you into buying from them and not grow it yourself. I was told that the state would be taxing each plant $600.00. That I would have to put up with state inspections in my home, You wouldn't be able to grow recreational pot. bla, bla.

Unfortunately there is no standard as to what strain helps each person.  While many people may find relief from strain X, but not be able to tolerate strain Y, others find strain Y a lifesaver and can't tolerate strain X.

This holds true for all conditions.  Charlotte's web is a strain often used for seizures, and has helped many children.  There was one little boy who tried it, and it actually increased his seizures.  His parents kept trying, and did find one that worked for him.  Our systems are very individualized.

I will say, most people find indica (as opposed to sativa) more helpful in withdrawal.  Indica strains are considered "body high" while sativa strains are considered "head" highs, which can often lead to panic and paranoia for those in withdrawal.  Most strains today are a hybrid of these two, but you can usually get one that is heavier on the indica.  Also, people in withdrawal seem to do better with strains that are higher in CBD and lower in THC.

Before growing your own, I would suggest trying different strains to see what suits you.  Remember that in order to get relief, you may not have to do nearly as much as you would to try to get "high".  Many people find "microdosing" or using tiny amounts, are actually more beneficial for symptoms, causes less anxiety, and is less likely to cause tolerance.

Thank you. I just ordered some CB Dream seeds. The strain is low in THC and high in CBD. I have a nice big bay window in my living room with plenty of sunshine. ;)

There's a lot of old hippie democrats in Massachusetts.
