I'm in month six of withdrawal from benzos. It has been a terrifying experience. Every organ system in my body is sick and in pain. I'm hoping to be able to talk to others who are experiencing this horror and also hear from those who have made it through.

I'm so sorry that you are suffering right now. Withdrawal symptoms are awful and can be relentless, but they are temporary.  It will get better with more time, so hang in there. You will find some valuable support here on the forum. Being with people who can completely understand and empathise is vital through this process.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm very relieved this forum exists. If I'm going to make it through this I need all the support and understanding I can find. So far I haven't found enough, especially from doctors. Even my psychiatrist doesn't understand how severe or how long withdrawals can last. I'm sad that anyone has to experience this and I'm also thankful I'm not alone.
