10 Months free! + a few days. Also ambien free for a year now!

Month 10 has been a bit of a mixed bag. The wave that started at 8 1/2 months is still here technically since I am at more hours per week of sx than before it started. The last 4 weeks however have seen a drop of about 4 hours every week. I'm down to 14 now, I was at 30 a month ago. If things carry on like this, it may not be too many more weeks til I see 0..

This month has seen a good handful of sx free days and I just had almost 2 days sx free. Just had a minor wave that ended that. In general my baseline has improved a lot. I am feeling mostly good now when not having sx and yesterday I felt 100% normal. In the past 9 days I've had 3-4 days like that. So things are definitely improving!

I went to a friends cabin a week ago and had a good time for most of it, barely any sx at all. I also went for a trip to a lake yesterday with my fiance, had ice cream, dinner and a movie and felt fantastic! These are things I couldn't have done even just a month ago probably.

Sx that seem to have gone this month:

Morning muscle pain / body aches - almost 2 weeks since I had them

Sicky / malaise - 10 days now without one

Sx still remaining:

Nerve pain - more a like burning nerves now. After the cabin, this has been pretty much only sx all week. Hopefully it's running out of steam as well soon.

Anxiety / edginess / short of breath - occasional waves of this, nothing too bad.

Tinnitus - seems to have gotten a little worse this past week now, but still not really anything that bothers me too much

Eye pain - getting less and eyes are improving every week

Sleep has been great. I had to take a muscle relaxer for a pinched nerve in my back the past week or so and the side effect is I've been getting 10+ hrs of sleep most nights. I dream all the time, several a night. I never really dreamt at all on Ambien.

I wake up calm and relaxed almost every morning now and enjoy sleeping in.

If Month 11 keeps improving like this I am excited for what it may bring. Fingers crossed!

Congrats Klugo! So great to hear your symptoms are much improved! You should be very proud of your journey.

I have been off klonopin since June 2nd. I too still have tinnitus as well as waves of intrusive thoughts. I carry on pretty normal (fake it till you make it!) on the outside but each day is still a level of dealing with the withdrawal. Time heals right?!

Thanks DD911!

How did your WD go? I think I maybe turning that corner where things are more manageable. I would love to get back to work soon if I can.

You're welcome pi236. Not quite success yet, but I'm getting there slowly. Wish you the best and speedy healing!

Pi236 don't worry it's a made up name anyway ;)

What's your background on benzos? You should add a signature.

Was trying to open profile so I could add my med background but am having problems opening it. Will try again later. Anyway, I took .5 mg Ativan for a about 35 days total. last dose was Feb. 2017. Suffered several and horrific withdrawal symptoms during acute stage. improving and feeling better compared to during the acute stage. Did not discover benzo buddies site until mid April of this year. i do read success stories all the time which gives me hope and inspiration that WE WILL ALL RECOVER in time. This what gives me hope and patience to keep on going!

Sorry to hear that, mine was pretty horrific at times also, now things are finally starting to look much better. You'll be good soon I'm sure!

How I feel is variable (as you well know) but in general I am doing better. My sleep is still up and down but the ups are getting better and the downs less severe. Many days I feel "almost normal" but it is astounding how many levels of "almost normal" there are. The bad nights of sleep still scare me, and this past month I've had some weird physical symptoms like sore throat and muscle stiffness in my feet/calves, but I just assume it's all WD and keep going. Have to pick my daughter up from camp now. Talk to you again soon!

Thanks BeatBenzos! I think you are probably close to being past the very worst, glad you are improving!

Hi Klungo,

So great that you are doing well and seeing improvements. It gives me hope.  I like your video and graph.  I know what you mean about if you could feel well you can deal with the other symptoms.  I think that way about my insomnia.  If my insomnia would improve I could deal with everything else.

You're welcome momert, glad it helped. I think there is always one sx that if it went away we would feel great. It seems to change though, always something will be better. I used to say if muscle pain went, it went. Eventually they will all be gone and I can't wait!

My sleep started to get better around 6 months then much better around 7-8 months.i hope.your sleep improves soon.

Thanks Tee, I've been very particular about tracking my progress. Now if I can actually get to zero hours I'll be happy!
