What tastes good to you?

With me new "spidey sense" after quitting a week a go, nothing tastes good in the slightest. All my senses have beem heightned, particularly my sense of smell. I've tried everything to tempt me into eating, got takeout from my favorite Mexican place: chips too salty, hot sauce tastes like chlorine, Carne asada bland... I'm thinking of buying some meal replacement shakes and want to know which ones people can choke down? Or anyone else unable to eat but have found 1 or 2 fooda they can tolerate?

Go to your local healthfood store and buy them there.  Grocery store shake mixes have too many additives and they could make you sick. They'll be more nutritious from the health store, the protein shakes.  I drank them alot when I first got off.  I also eat brown rice now.  No white.

Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to go there for valerian root tomorrow, anyway, and wouldn't have thought to buy them there but that's an excellent idea.

I'm still tapering, but I've been CRAVING pork chops. It's all I eat for dinner, unless we go out to eat. Very weird for me, I'm usually a steak person. lol

Benzos create the craziest cravings. I used to eat only organic vegetarian food, but for the first seven months after I jumped I craved meat and potatoes, so that's what I ate.

Now I'm back to being meat-aversive, but all I want is dairy. Many buddies here can't eat dairy, but I'm OK with it. Recently I've eaten huge amounts of flan, but I make it with as little sugar as possible, only enough for the tiniest amount of caramelization.

That sounds completely nuts, yet I got my first window after a week of obsessive flan-eating. Go figure. :idiot:

I like flan. Well, I used to, anyway. The weird thing is my stomach growls often like I'm hungry but then everything tastes wrong or very bland. I tried to eat a salad yesterday and it was horrible! Lettuce just tasted bitter, avocado totally flavorless. I know it's just my perception of the food, but that doesn't make it taste any better.

I should make my own smoothies. I am able to drink the store bought ones, like Naked brand, and they taste okay but they have a ton of sugar so I try to limit them.
