Tapering without much support

Hi,

 

I am a long-time benzo user who has hit rock bottom.  I am tapering (down to 7.5 mg valium) but am suffering.

 

I am wanting a community to help.  Glad I am here.

We are pleased you have joined our community,  you will receive a lot of support and information here on withdrawing from benzodiazepines.  A gradual taper of 5-10% every 10-14 days is generally recommended.  I would suggest you read The Ashton Manual, It is a great resource for understanding the effect benzo’s have on our body.  It provides tapering and withdrawal information and includes a list of common symptoms 

 

Feel free to post to any of the dedicated boards.  Our members have been through all aspects of benzodiazepine use and withdrawal and are more than willing to share their experiences.
