Hmmmmm.  I've long had stomach and digestive issues.  I've had exzema along with these 'cycles' of stomach problems.  I found that taking probiotics over several months has helped my stomach and digestion get back on track and way better than it has been for YEARS (long before benzos made things worse).  I found that I was terribly constipated and very slow to digest in the worst phase of acute / post-acute withdrawal.  Probiotics really helped me recover.  I don't know if your problems are more complex nor do I know the influence of MAST cells in this but reestablishing a healthy gut biome is really important to healing, as you noted.

This sounds like good advice to me. I'm not sure what symptoms have returned for you in this wave, but for me being really conscious of the brain/gut (2nd brain) connection is huge. A probiotic helped me a lot in acute and beyond. A variety of organic raw nuts and lots of fruits and veggies is helpful to me overall. All of my symptoms are better when stomach is in good shape. I hope you feel better very soon.  :smitten:
