My 4mg Klonopin Nightmare

Hello all. I had been trying to do my taper on my own with little support. I am 7 months into my taper starting on what  had been up to 4 mg of klonopin for almost a decade. I am now down to 5mg Valium in morning and 10 mg Valium at night. I plan on being off all benzos by end of September. My issues are that I am having horrible side effects and paranoia .... regrets on lost life and relationships I had no idea were affected by my benzo use which was always only for sleep..and work is a struggle. I have a few good days. And then as y'all know it slam your ass on the ground.  I'm hurting it out. Just here for support and positive looks on life after this hell is behind me. Thanks to you all.

You will get plenty of support here.  Well done to you for starting your taper.  A gradual taper of 5-10% every 10-14 days is generally recommended.  I am going to leave a link to the Ashton Manual, a great source of information about these types of medications and how to withdraw.  The manual explains how the benzos affect the body and also lists common symptoms that are caused by withdrawal or reduction .
