If I find a benzo wise Dr would you guys recommending crossing over to Valium since my tolerance + interdose + withdrawl is REALLY bad!? Would that help any?

you could cross over, or the other options would be to split your klonopin doses up throughout the day.  I don't know how many times you dose, but some people find it easier to split the dose of the medication they are currently on, rather than switching over.  A longer acting benzo should help relieve interdose withdrawal, so switching is an option.  Just remember that if you cross over, to do it gradually, and give yourself time to adjust to the new medication before resuming your taper.  Some people can cross over quickly without too much of an issue, other people cross slowly and need to stabilize after being hit with symptoms, but can then resume their taper with fewer side effects.  Remember that valium is not a sure thing.  While many people find switching over extremely helpful, others cannot handle it.  (Our bodies metabolize different benzos differently.  I couldn't have crossed over to valium if I wanted to, because valium has no effect on me)

So I would still have to taper off Klonopin first?

1 mg klonopin = 20 mg valium  each .5mg klonopin is 10mg valium

if you are at 2mg klonopin, in theory you could drop your klonopin down to 1.5mg, then add in 10mg valium. This would give you the same daily dose, just crossing over slowly.  Wait a bit and see how you handle it.  Some people can switch out another 25% of their dose in just a few days, others have to wait a few weeks to stabilize.  Once you feel stable, you could then drop another .5mg klonopin and add 10mg valium in.  While crossing over, you would not be tapering, just stabilizing.  Then, continue substituting valium for klonopin, and after you have crossed over completely and stabilized, you can start tapering again.
