I was wondering who has had a CT scan of the brain just to check for anything?

Didn't do a CT scan but did do an MRI. MRI showed no abnormalities.

yes I have had both. I was off balance and falling down all the time. I'm 58 and was told I was getting old, stressed, working to hard, you name it this "pretend hospital in my creepy little town has all the equipment but no one competent to read it . I heard real scientists could detect brain damage from benzos and that it was temporary and the brain will heal itself after discontinuing the drug. what is going on? Do doctors know they messed up and are is covering there ass! I had to figure out on my own that it was the anti-depressants and benzodiazapine that were causing my decline and guess what drug free and I don't fall down or stagger anymore.

Had an MRI, nothing seemed wrong other than some nerve pinching in my neck. possibly a cause for some of the neuropathy I've had but most likely none of the horrible sx I've had

I wasn't actually coming to post about my CT experience! Had one today after a new onset of pulsatile tinnitus and doc hearing a neck bruit. I had CTs of head and neck with contrast. No abnormalities. Yahoo! Back to being convinced it's all withdrawals. 👎🏻

Just a note to remind all of us (although I'm sure everyone knows), that CT scans do impart a fair dose of radiation into the body so should not be undertaken unless truly necessary.  This is especially true in respect of CT's done with contrast.  Yes, they are a powerful diagnostic tool in the hands of a good radiologist, but I know people who are requesting scans all the time and some of those people have had unnecessary radiation exposure due to such behavior.

Had MRI, nothing was found. Of course I was convinced I had a brain tumor or something wrong with my inner ear as I was sooo dizzy and off balance all the time! Now 4 months off and I am definitely less dizzy and my balance is way better! God these pills are awful! I have had every test in the last 3 months (Ct of chest, pelvis, echocardiogram, etc...) they did find an myelolipoma on my adrenal gland but say it's benign. I'm trusting them as I'm so tired of this withdrawal making me lose my mind. Hope everyone is well!

I've had two brain MRIs, both normal. MRI is way better than CT for looking at the brain and doesn't give you radiation like CT does.

I have had 2 MRI's done. One with and one without contrast. Nothing abnormal was found. I had a slight panic attack the second time but was able to complete the scan.

As mentioned above. A MRI is much better when looking for brain/head abnormalities than a CT scan.
