Pregnant and needing help with a slow titration plan

Hello. I'm new here.

Background is that I have panic disorder and GAD. After my worst episode of days worth of attacks last year, I was prescribed .5 klonopin 2x day while the lexapro "kicked in." It never did. It's my 4th unsuccessful SSRI.I'm off the lexapro. I was so concerned about becoming dependant that I never took my prescribed dose. I only took .25 klonopin in the morning but have been doing so for 10 months. I tried to dry cut and taper after finding out i was pregnant with my 4th child (surprise!) 3 weeks ago. I went from .25 to .0625 in 2.5 weeks and then was hit with terrible withdrawal. I was shocked. I didn't think coming off this dose would be so terrible. I think I just went too fast and it's so hard to go slow dry cutting with such a small dose. My Pdoc had me updose to comfort which is .375 mgs. I'm not completely comfortable but I'm okay. Just feels like mild anxiety. Do I updose more to complete comfort before tappering?

I need help with a milk taper plan. I have a 100 ml cylinder. i also happen to have a 200 no beaker left over from my kids science fair. I have .5 klonopin pills (probably about 100). Do I dissolve the entire .5 tablet? Or do i break a .5 tablet down to .375 and then dissolve? Does Klonopin come in a .25 pill? I've got 225 days left in my pregnancy and would like to be off before I give birth (to avoid the NICU, judgement and a fight about whether I can breastfeed) but I'm okay with going slow and listening to my body.

Thank you so much for any help you can provide!

I had the same situation with benzo and SSRI.  I was given Ativan until Effexor XL kicked in, and it never did.  I was given refills of the Ativan, and now I am seriously addicted.  I wonder if any SSRI antidepressants really work well for anyone.

Luckily, I was done having babies when this happened.  I'm sure you are seeing an obstetrition, and you certainly have done your research.  Please do not worry about being judged.  I am sure your family loves you, and any nurse or doctor who would do that would be acting very unprofessional.  Good luck and good health to you both!

I tapered down to .25 during my pregnancy and stayed on that for the duration and in the last trimester went back to 2.5mg.  The reason that I went back was stupid but I just wanted to tell you that I was taking 2.5mg klonopin during my last 3 weeks of pregnancy and while giving birth and at the hospital and there was no judgement.  In fact, they didn't even connect him being extra sleepy with it but I knew.  I felt bad, like he went through a little mini withdrawal as well as birth.

I'm not saying to stay on but just saying that being on a low dose during birth is probably not such a big deal at the hospital.

PS:  see titration forum boards, they have instructions.  A good resource is to send a pm(personal message) to a member called "Builder". Under " members" there is an alphabetical index.  He is great with math.
