Extremely low pulse and bp

I have been dealing with a very low bp and pulse lately. Pulse going down to 54 during the day and in the mid 40s at night. I had a cardiac workup last year and it was Normal. I'm also bedridden from this along with crushing fatigue. I thought bp and hr went up during the end of a taper. This is scary. Should I be worried? Thanks everyone, I'm alone in this and so scared.

Hi redpeach, low bp has and chronic fatigue has been my biggest ongoing withdrawal sympetom. I'm 14 months off and am still struggling with fatigue although I'm no longer bedridden and am back at work but only part time. The fatigue is crippling and I can only describe it as like a switch being turned off and all  the power and energy that should be circulating around my body no longer exists yet my mind is still racing and I can't nap or sleep. Whilst in tolerance I was bedridden for months and couldn't walk up my stairs, I had to crawl- as I mentioned, this has improved but I'm still not living my life to the fullest, I wake up, spend a couple of hours "warming up" I then work for approx 5 hours and then head home to hit the couch. I can't wait to have a social life again and feel that zest for life again on a daily basis, it is slowly getting better and I'm grateful for that I just wish it would hurry up! The bp thing is strange as many other BB's complain of racing hearts yet when I walk up an incline or stairs my heart increases but pounds very hard more than races, this still makes me feel horrible like I'm going to pass out. Good luck, I'm sure we'll be out living again fully one day ❤️

Hi,

I don't have the low pulse, but I do have low BP - average of 90 over 70.  I have high cortisol so that will be affecting my pulse and BP stats - actually I should have high BP with high cortisol so I guess its a benzo thing going on.  I am sipping on Himalayan salt water thu the day to try and keep my BP up a bit.

Hopefully your pulse will come up the lower you go in your dose of Valium. I don.t have the fatigue cos my cortisol is high - in fact I have the opposite - never tired....but I feel very weak and wobbly.

take care

Thanks for the replies! I am scared my heart is going to just give up and stop beating  since its getting so low. I had a cortisol stimulating test a few years ago and it was Normal. I think I've got some kind of autonomic nervous system issue from long term benzo use. My adrenal glands are probably wrecked too. I may go see an endocrinologist just to be safe.

Redpeach, I know how scared you are but please try not to worry. It is bw and it hits us where we are most vulnerable. I had low pulse and bp too. But I always have been a bit on the low side. It will get better. Its way better that having high bp during this ordeal!
