Taper medicine making me worse

I just switched from Valium pills to liquid valium to finish my taper this morning and it made me sick. I got super dizzy and had a mini panic attack. Anyone have any thoughts  about this? Sending hugs to everyone

It is not uncommon when switching from one form of a drug to another to have issues for a while, because even though they have the same active dose, your body metabolizes them differently.  If I were you, I would wait a few weeks to stabilize on the new form before making any more cuts to your dose.  For many people these symptoms clear up within a week or two, and they can then resume their taper.  Good luck!

Switching from solid to liquid sometimes does that to people.  I usually recommend against changing form in the middle of a taper.  Make sure you're really taking the dose that you think you're taking.  The symptoms almost sounds like you got more medicine that you expected.

I only took 2mg of the  liquid this morning. I was going to do 2mg at 7am, .75 at 3pm, and 2mg at 10pm. I don't know why I got so ill after I took the 2mg. I'm wondering if something in the liquid valium I'm reacting badly to. It's so upsetting, I was looking forward to starting a liquid taper  :'(
