Question about Ashton Manual

[ne...]

Recommended Posts

Dr. Ashton writes that it is of no therapeutic benefit to hold longer than 2 weeks. I'm down to 2.5mg V now and it's been getting progressively worse. I've not held longer than 2 weeks. I feel pretty crappy all the time so not sure when to cut anymore. Anyone else toward the end and how do you determine when to cut? I'd really appreciate feedback. Thanks!

Not sure why my post was moved here since it's a question directly related to tapering. I really need help but don't think I'll get any with my post in this category.

Ashton was vague on this 2-4 weeks holding.  She says you can adjust the manual to your own experience, it's more of a guideline.

You're down pretty low now. Let your body tell you when to taper again.

The Ashton manual is more of a guideline than an absolute.

People are individuals and are not clones of each other. Some can follow Ashton to "the letter" while others have to slow down the lower they go.

Others prefer to start a microtaper at doses below a certain point using liquid or a scale.

As far as the word therapeutic, I found that 1 mg Actavis clonazepam did not equal 1 mg Sandoz clonazepam. The Sandoz worked on and off. Took months to adjust. Yet FDA says both are therapeutically equivalent. My point is that you and your body know what works therapeutically. Not Ashton or anyone else.
