Hi Everyone

Apart from time what has helped you most to get through this?

I have found EFT to be a real lifesaver at times when my anxiety is high.

What has helped you?

Thanks

Exercise. No matter how difficult or painful. Even if it is the bare minimum. Try to do something everyday. If you can manage to  get up a good sweat even better. Hot Yoga always leaves me feeling cleansed and relaxed. Even though it feels brutal when doing it.

Achieving at least the smallest task daily goes a long way for your peace of mind.

Thank you Vaartist  :)

EFT is Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping. It is a great way to relieve stress and lots of other problems. To find out more Google / YouTube _ EFT. Brad Yates teaches it well. It is simple to learn and you can use it at anytime. It It is also totally free Which is a nice bonus!

-Guided meditations - I like the "Insight Timer" app

-Hot baths

-Swimming

-Exercise, especially yoga

-Trying to maintain a routine, but giving myself the okay to take breaks

-Coloring - "adult" coloring books like mandalas, patterns

-Talking it out with my husband, my mom

-Doing my best to accept the situation, see positives

-Making plans, getting out when I'm up to it, having things to look forward to

I also recently purchased a MONQ personal aroma therapy diffuser. It's a little gimmicky, but I've seen a little boost in my mood after using it. I imagine it's along the same line as supplements though and could give some people an adverse reaction.

Switching to a vegan diet helped within days, seriously processed food, dairy, and meat are terrible for you. Watch what the health on netflix and you can see just how bad it truly is, I've been vegan about three weeks now and it has helped more than I can tell you

Exercise has been the best positive thing I can do - hard cardio and lots of stretching. Eating smart is a close second.. together, they work well for me.

Glad to see a positive, solution oriented post for a change!

I am in the process of tapering, and have far to go.

What helps me:

1. a weekly meeting with a therapist

2. lots of exercise-long distance biking, gym sessions and snowshoeing

3. studying wd and symptoms, relieves fears and lets me see what I experience as part of the process.

Helps me ACCEPT the horrors and not obsess. When I get new symptoms, I check the Ashton manual and other quality sites, and sure enough, it's always there, whatever the new thing is.

4. music (headphones mostly)

5. "Be here now" zen breaks. Mostly sitting by one of the many rivers up here and just observing

6. Routine, but no recriminations if I can't do it all on some days. It's simple: basic housework, exercise, my self employed job (have cut back on clients) quiet time alone every afternoon

7. physical therapy for the muscle pain, air hunger, and migraines.

8 doing things I am afraid to do (anticipatory anxiety) over and over and over. This is vital, with practice, you know you will survive the trip to the store, the conference, the whatever.

Great post.

Thank you to everyone.

Exercise seems to be a huge help for most people.

Getting out in nature seems popular.
