Klonopin is the only benzo I've been on, so I can't speak with authority on how it compares to others, but if the others are as tough to drop as K, I don't ever want any part of them. I've been through blurry vision, dizziness, anxiety and a host of other symptoms at the same time, but I tapered fast. If you can listen to your body and follow the path that works out best - it still won't be comfortable, but I hope you can figure out a pace that will smooth the ride a bit.

Hi there! I am also tapering off klonopin. It seems like no matter what you do it still sucks. I tried tapering to .75 and then quitting.... That was a really bad move on my part. I ended up right back on my original dose. I stabilized myself and then started a much slower taper... Right around 12 percent. I don't have a schedule of reducing every week or two weeks... I listen to my body and let that determine when to taper. A few things that have helped me is weekly therapy and my pdoc put me on gabapentin which really helps with the anxiety and some pain issues.

You mentioned you have some back and shoulder pain. This is completely normal during withdrawal. What has helped me is weekly chiropractics, and daily yoga.  You might want to try "yoga with Adriene "...she's on YouTube and has videos specifically for neck, shoulder, and back pain.

I know the withdrawal process is gruesome. Hang in there my friend.

At 2 1/2 months off, I feel like I'm slowly improving. I have my bad days, but mostly the days are pretty good. The insane anxiety was mostly just in acute withdrawal at around weeks 2-4 after my last dose. I feel like with a proper taper, I might have avoided that. The biggest problems now are typically lightheadedness and lack of energy on bad days.
