Rescue dose

Recommended Posts

I've been rescue dosing all day. I've never rescue dosed before. I'm pretty good about staying the course. How far does it set you back? I just didn't feel like feeling bad today. Not that I felt much better with an extra .25mg, but it was a little relief. I'm so emotionally stunted at this point, I don't really even know.

Do you only had one extra dose?

Yes, so far. I usually dose at .25mg four times a day, but I had to drive to another city at 5am today so I dosed earlier than usual, and took an extra 25mg so far. I'll probably have to do another .25mg before bed. I can't not sleep Bc I work all day tomorrow and am applying for a second job tomorrow after my shift at my first one. I have to be able to function. I just don't want a major setback.

Can you split your .25 dose and maybe take only half an extra dose?  Apologies to the moderator-is this permitted?

I rescue dosed a few times during the worst days. I always seemed to wake up the next day feeling about the same as I had in days prior to the bad day. So I don't think one rescue dose typically sets you back much. At least, it didn't for me. The only real problem is if it weakens your resolve to hold the course in coming days. I hope you stay strong and press on!

They never bothered me any, and by rescue dosing when i had to function, let me push harder the rest of the time.. -avoiding the need for a more permanent updose...

I was holding at the time, obviously a slower SX guided taper to match your needs would be ideal... But we do what we have to...

Im sure you are aware to keep an eye on it, lest you find that you are not tapering at all, or just making it generally harder...

Good luck with the job... -To continue to work has a huge value of its own...
