I'm sorry you are feeling so bad  :'( and I know personally how crazy it all seems :idiot:.  From your signature it looks like you've made a lot of brave changes but unfortunately that has an impact on your nervous system. The good news is that it will get better. Even though you're having lots of physical and emotional side effects your brain is trying to balance itself out. Here is an article written by Dr. Jennifer Leigh, a fellow benzo survivor: https://benzowithdrawalhelp.com/2017/03/06/what-we-wish-family-and-friends-knew-about-benzo-withdrawal/

In this article Jennifer Leigh explains the withdrawal process. She took Klonopin for 17 years as prescribed by her doctor and started having all kinds of neurological issues. It took her over 4 years to completely heal. I am not sure what the ratio is for the time we take benzos to the time we heal but if you took Klonopin for 8 years, two months is not enough time to feel like your old self. I took Klonopin and Valium for only 10 months and it has been over two months since I jumped. I feel a lot better but still have burning sensations every day. It helps to have realistic expectations as you heal. Reading about other benzo buddies who have made it to the other side is very inspiring and encouraging. There are lots of success stories on this site, but two months is still in the early stages of recovery. Keep at it nhbuck28 and don't give up .

Exactly what she said. Be realistic.  It takes a while. Trust me

Your signature says you reinstated in the beginning of this year so your 'clock' was reset. Also, you've added alcohol withdrawal to the mix. Sorry to be a killjoy but if you are going to get yourself out of this hole it's important to have realistic expectations. Please try to occupy yourself with pleasant mind-consuming activities. It will really help.

Ya but was it really reinstating? They didn't even work at all.
Posted
I appreciate where you're coming but yes it was reinstating. If it 'didn't work' as you put it, then you probably reached tolerance. I reached tolerance really fast and was in withdrawal before I ever began tapering so I get where you're coming from. It doesn't seem fair, but I didn't know that if you've taken a benzo before your brain reacts differently the second (or third) time. I doubt anyone knows that until it's too late. It really sucks but again as someone else has put on their profile, "there is no way out but through."  No one can explain the hows and why of how this stuff affects each person so differently. Even if you had an answer it doesn't change things. Your brain is still going to take a while, who knows how long, to heal. I hope you are able to figure out some way to get through this as pleasantly as possible. Take care.

i cant even ride in a car my vertigo kicks in immediatley and my neck is so stiff while doing so and eyes dryer then heck. i went for a 10 min  car ride today and feel like my eyes are burning out of my skull, im so dizzy head feels like a balloon  is this normal?
Posted
put an ice pack back of my neck and forehead it relaly helped i dont know whats going on

Sorry to hear. If the ice makes you feel better then keep using it.

You ask if what you're feeling is normal? Who knows? What's normal? No doctor seems to be benzo savvy enough to give us straight information. Most are scared of litigation or their reputation. You've put your brain through a chemical war so it's probably normal given what your GABA receptors have been put through. All of our choices have consequences regardless of our intent.

I took very little of this stuff for under a year and tapered using the Ashton Method and I still have burning sensations in my head, face, limbs, etc. plus hot flashes and anxiety waves when I'm happily doing something. Why? I have no idea and I finally realized that the more I focused on those symptoms the worse they got. Distraction and patience are your best friends right now. Find success stories on this site to read. That will help you understand what others have gone through. It helped me and it can help you too. Keep using the ice.

im just wondering if it is withdrawal by head dosent burn it just hurts like a constant migraine and pounding pressure all the time all day. and that triggers the anxiety
Posted
Everyone is different. I feel burning. You feel pressure. You could tell yourself that the symptoms are nothing to be afraid of and that the pressure and pounding are your brain's way of trying to reach a balance. If that doesn't feel right to you, or you can't handle the symptoms, or you think there's another underlying cause, then what's stopping you from seeking medical attention? I'm not sure what kind of answer you are expecting but unfortunately all any of us on this site can offer you is empathy.  We all share similar experiences, but none of us know more about YOUR body, than you do. I hope you can find some peace.

Are you still on the remeron?  If so, I would say that is the ongoing cause of your symptoms.  Praying for you.

nOW MY HEAD PAIN IS GONE still dizzy not as bad but my stomach is swelled up now had a sudden like sharp pain in my  pectoral followed by anxiety and like a warm rush feeling
Posted

Is it possible that the pain is coming from tension in the musslces? Shoulder neck back and head are all connected. Maybe you are also hyperventilating without being really aware of it and it can cause pretty bad dizzyness. You could try some stretching exercise and breathing exercises and slow walks?

im not sure it feels like my eyes are the issue my head feels like its going to explode when im driving, my eyes were burning so bad when we were done in the car and it feels like there on fire and going to pop out of my head, does driving effect the nervous system ,  i cant believe im the only one having this issue, its constant all day long
Posted

Yes I think I can relate. I had a burning/ tingling/ cramped sensation in my eyes through my head till the back of my head when driving the car. It's slowly fading away tho. But I still can't drive very far. I did took a breathing therapy and I'm giving my eyes a lot of rest so no television and no pc for a long time now.
