Day 3 of being cutoff from lorazepam and switching to diazepam. My tolerance for lorazepam was very high. I could take 4-5mg and feel fine.

Diazepam is odd. I am finding 5mg too strong, feels like a drunk/opioid sensation that I do not like at all. And it is way more sedating than lorazepam. Is it strange that my tolerance is high for ativan but with diazepam I react strongly even at a relatively low dose? I suppose I may just need to adjust to it

I cut down to 2.5mg and it seems better. I was able to get a small script for lorazepam that won't last me long but 2.5mg Valium and .5mg Ativan feels a lot better and I can function better as well.

I thought Valium was weaker than Ativan but man do I find it strong.

Everyone is different.  If you are "OK" n the 2.5mg Valium, then don't go higher.  Do your taper slowly and just pay attention to what you can handle (bodily).  I wish you the best.

Valium was a horrible choice for me. About an hour after I take it I'm inebriated.  Some say I'm so low the does is no longer therapeutic, I'm starting to think that's not true in all cases because as soon as I take it I'm hit with excruciating fatigue and then I pass out.  Which is why I dose once at night.

Yeah V has always hit me like a ton of bricks, it also gives me really bad depression.  I haven't taken it in a long time now.
