Slow down.  It isnt a race.  you are going fast.  So it takes you a long time to taper off then it take a long time.  I micro taper.  im at .120mgs.  it will be 5 months before I am completely off.  I have almost no symptoms.  I get mild symptoms for about a day every 10 days.  slow and steady wins the race

toddfw2003 makes good points. I'm expecting about another 5 months as well on my taper, but if it takes 10 months so what. Hang in there Meems71.

Thanks everyone. I am in the pit of depression right now.

I don't want to do V it makes my depression even worse.

I think I am gonna give LMT a try.

Some people recommend stabilizing on the liquid for about two weeks before tapering.

I noticed a difference between the liquid and tablets.

yeah I am going to take it for a little while at .5mg. I need to slow it down a bit. The first half went well sx wise.  I knew getting under .5 was gonna be an issue.  :brickwall: Maybe I just wussed out.

Meems - you did not wuss out. You maybe got ahead of yourself. Get your strength back at .5 and take another run at it when you are ready. You've got this....

I feel the same, like I am never going to get off the last .5. I have been at more or less the same dose since Thanksgiving (I tried dropping below .5 but anxiety was absolutely unreal so I updosed back to .5).

I am thinking it will take me perhaps another two years to get off. At this point, I don't care how long it takes as long as I get off. I am holding now as my son starts college in August, so the anxiety is high, would rather wait until he is gone and we get through that. I am doing all I can with self care, diet, therapy, etc. so I am in a better place to get rid of the last .5 mg. when I am ready I think it's just hard, and it's important to go super slow.

I cannot do liquid ... tried that and it was a disaster. May see if my psych will do a crossover but really not sure. I do sometimes have depression so not sure if Valium would make that worse. Good luck!
