I don't know which forum to seek help on anymore.

It's 2am where I am and I'm laying in bed confused about which forum to seek help on (this one, or an anxiety or OCD forum). I don't know what's wrong with me anymore. I suffer from underlying anxiety and OCD. I've had these disorders for years before I even touched a benzo.

See I'm eight months out now and my symptoms could be from anxiety or OCD now. All I know is that I need help as I'm in crisis. But I have no idea where to get it or who to turn to.

Looking at your sig: if you took benzos once per week you are probably not in wd and are  having uncontrolled anxiety or a medical issue. Since you no longer use benzos you have lost your reliable control over your anxiety and this causes agorophobia and depression. Eyelid twitching is a classic anxiety symptom and beno wd causes lots of other muscles to twitch.

Just vent in one place or the other or both. Just seek for the help you need.

I also have underlaying anxiety and do not know what is what at times. But probably it is both things added together. It doesnt really matter as long as you are in wd. If all other symptoms are gone you can work on the original issues.

I dont agree with AlienResources. I dont think anyone can say if anyone else is in wd. If someone tapers for two weeks, that alone can cause dependence and send someone in terrible wd, like anyone else who takes benzo's for only two weeks.

I missed the taper.  How long was the taper?  Was this taper with daily dosing or was it just your once per week PRN schedule with descending doses?

Hi Alien resources,

My signature is a bit lacking, I started off at one dose a week but near the end of my valium journey I was taking a dose every second to third day, running out of my staged supply then kindling. Just before I started my taper, I needed about a dose of 30mg valium to stop a panic attack where 10-15mg would stop one when I was first given valium in 2013.i think I tapered for about 2 months, I went on to 5mg a day then dropped a mg every 1-2 weeks to stabilise. I definitely unquestionably was tolerant and dependant before I went onto my taper.

Alien must have a benzo crystal ball to know exactly what is benzo-related and what is not.  I don't have such a device.

Matt,

Regardless of what condition you may have or how you are feeling, get support from whomever and wherever you can.  Feeling better about yourself, and the world in general, is what support is all about.  People helping people.  The reasons are unimportant.
