Finding a way to cope with coming off xanax

So i've been dealing with depression/anxiety for good 5 years now, started affecting my uni studies and its just worsened over the years. I stupidly decided to take 1mg xanax everyday for 7 months which helped but made me feel like a zombie.

I've decided tot aper off xanax by reducing 0.125mg every 14 days.

I'm gonna join a social meditation class and the gym and start taking the following supplements incase I have any malnutrition:

- Vitamin B12

VItamin D

L-Glutamine

Amino Acid Complex (Maybe Omega 3)?

Does anyone think this is a good plan? Any suggestions?

Thanks  in advance!

You may find that rate is a bit aggressive.  If so, slow down the taper as needed.

If you're eating a halfway decent diet, there's probably no need for the supplements.  However, if taken in moderation, they probably won't hurt anything other than your wallet.

My Dr. (the one who has been helping me deal with withdrawal - not the one who got me on benzos to begin with) strongly recommended that I take a full B-complex, not just B-12. He said that even if it's just B-12 you're deficient in, it still helps the body to not get thrown out of whack to take a full complex.

My blood levels were actually pretty good. It was only vitamin D that I was very deficienct in. The doctor did want to see more vitamin b 12, but like I said, recommended a full complex. I wish I could remember all that he said about it. He was going on about how it's easy to overdose on b12 and throw the levels out of whack, but if you take the full complex, the 12 is better absorbed or passed, and it's much easier for the body to get the correct balance.
