Need advice on weighing dose.

I'm dry cutting my ativan and have tapered from 2.0mg to .69mg total. Split into four smaller doses. The gemini 20 scale I use isn't the most accurate thing in the world. But also the only real option for anyone looking for a consumer grade milligram scale.

I'm using the "g" measurement to weigh the ativan. I'm guessing that means grams. Each .5mg pill weighs .66g before I cut them down to size. Each cut pill is supposed to weigh .23g. I take 4 cut pills per day. The total weight of these is supposed to be .92g.

The problem I had was that if I actually cut each pill to .23g, then the total ends up saying .96g Which means the actual dose is .72mg. Not .69mg.

To fix this, I recently changed the way I weigh the pills. I decided to set the max total weight to .92g (since .92g divided by 4 is .23g). When I actually weigh the pills individually, they say something like .22g or less Which is odd considering that .22g times 4 equals .88g. Or .66mg total. So am I at .69mg or .66mg? I'm not really sure.

SOOooo I've concluded my scale is just effed and my old way of weighing the pills was better. What do you think of this madness? Do you think cutting each pill to the correct weight makes more sense? Or do you think using a daily total weight makes the most sense? Might be more accurate? The two numbers obviously disagree with each other. And I'm in a ton of withdrawal trying to figure out what I'm actually at.

P.S. I've already tried re calibrating the scale. Didn't change anything.

Oh that's so crazy about your scale.  I agree that the max total daily weight sounds like the best way to go.

I am dry cutting just with a pill cutter and I'm sure your cuts are more accurate than mine.
