Hi im new here I have been told buy my  doctor I have to come off diazepam after 18 years of use.i also take clopromazine as I had amphetamine psycosis 20 years ago .I have been cutting from 5mg  tablets breaking 0.5 off the best I can for 3 weeks now the doctor just told me to break one in half then half the half I did this for the first week after reading here  I realized  the doctor was wrong .I take my diazepam at 6pm and then the clopromazine at about 10pm and im sleeping ok.but every day when it gets near to 6pm im having a bit of a panick attack feeling a bit faint then I take the tablet that has been cut and im ok.sometimes I feel ok in the day time other days I feel a bit on edge .what i would like to know is theppanicky and faint feeling normal for someone cutting down on diazepam as the feeling im getting is like I had when I was put on clopromazine.

Sorry admin if this is posted in the wrong place like I said im new to all this

Hi jiggy, in my case this happened exactly as you described, every cut i felt extreme anxious, faint feeling, could not concentrate, panic attacks and always thought i was going to die.

Still happens to me ( i am on 0.25mg day), my advice is to fight, try to focus on breathing and let the body automagically heal.

Chamomile tea and moderate phisical activities helps as well.

Regards from Brazil
