Nightmares!

Recommended Posts

I am constantly sleepy and lathargic. When I doz off I have night mares and they relate to real life worries that I have. It is frieghtning I wake up with such a horrible down trod and it makes me feel like life is over and unrepairable. I get a window a small one every once in a while and the gloom and doom leave my life. Life feels like  it's livable for a little while. Those feelings don't last.:):):idiot:

Toughtime - it appears you are really in the thick of this withdrawal.  Nightmares are quite common for many of us, especially when jumping.  My husband of 43 years had to awaken me on several occasions when I jumped because I was scaring him during my nightmares!  You are getting some "good times" so that's a positive thing and they will happen more and more.  I believe your brain is trying to sort out life's "problems" because it's healing.

I'm not sure why but sleep/dreaming is so frequently upset with the vast majority of us BBs.  It's probably the area most affected in the brain with these benzos.  Anyway, focus on anything positive and try to accept that, for now, you will be uncomfortable but the end goal will be worth it.

PS:  Last night I didn't awaken with a nightmare but surprisingly did awake at 3am feeling very anxious after a vivid dream (not nightmare).  I'm 7 months jumped.
