I'm not sure that is sooo weird to have itching.  Nerves do the same thing for many of us on other body parts so why not your neck?  From the other BBs input over time, everything has to be healed by our brains.  That a tall order!

I'm not sure what I can offer IF it is nerve related.  My only suggestion would be perhaps using an ice pack on your neck to dull the nerves.  Sorry - It's easy to say don't scratch but I know that feeling can get intense.  Good luck!

I had that intense itching in a spot on my back for several months. It drove me crazy!  Eventually the itching morphed into an itchy, burning, buzzing feeling that was actually painful. Then it faded away and has been gone for a few months now...thank goodness! Hopefully yours will go away too!

I started laying backward on my bed and giving myself neck adjustments by letting my head hang off the end of the bed and get heavy and just popping it into place (imagine just making your neck taller by lifting your head with hands) and it's started "clicking" into place. It has been helping me a lot. I don't have to itch though. Sounds like your nerves are coming back to life and firing in that area if I had to guess...
