Why do I feel like I'm going backwards at 16 months off??

I was about 85%-90% healed at 12 months. Then for about three months I was just kinda stuck there. Now over the last month I feel like I've started sliding backwards ever so slightly. Anyone else? Why is this???

I found that after 14 months I was 85% better.  But I also noticed that my waves and windows became longer.  So I go for a long time feeling not bad.  Then I seem to tip back the other way and feel kinda shitty again and although the waves aren't generally as bad as they were when I was less than a year out, they still give me kind of a mind fuck.  I start thinking Im not getting any better.  But I slog on, and then I start to transition into window territory again and before I know it, Im not feeling too bad again.

stay on course

Hi Eric,

I'm sorry you are struggling. I am at 11 months I think I am about 65%-70% better. I have notice that I am getting better lately and the symptoms are less intense and less frequent.  However I still notice my symptoms sometimes come back intense too but would disappear soon. So I am confused sometimes too. However, I read that a majority of people heal by 2 years so I think you just need to hang on, your healing can come anytime.

Eric,

The only hump to get over is the time.  It just takes time, when you have a window you're not healed, you are healing.  When you have a wave, you haven't taken a step back, you are healing.  The frustrating thing is that none of us know when we will heal.  Everything I've read suggests to me that we shouldn't even start to expect to be healed until at least 18 months.

Almost everything I read indicates this is correct, 18-24 months is the typical timeframe for complete healing. I think we just have to be patient and understand that every day post jump is a day forward.
