eyesight

My eyesight is extremely impaired. Everything has a 2-dimensional look to it. It's like I'm looking at the world with a green screen backdrop. There is a sharp contrast between objects in the foreground and the background. My peripheral vision is also non-existent. I feel like I have a very narrow range of focus. I think this is the reason I keep bumping my shoulder into walls. I think it may have something to do with the fact my eyes are not receiving enough light or the area in my brain responsible for vision isn't processing all the data being sent by my eyes.

Does anyone else have similar issues with their eyesight?

Yes, I had a lot of very strange visual symptoms similar to yours, up to and including minor hallucinations, scenery that seemed to move, lack of depth perception, exceptionally bright and clear colors, distortions and morphing of people and objects, visual snow, and many others.  These things are normal, and they'll go away as you heal.

Me too.  I think you will find it common for folks to complain about dry eye, foggy, blurry, floaters in vision.  Also your other symptoms of objects and light/dark is common too.  It is a scary experience for sure but it does get better.  (For example I had dry eye and foggy/floaters in my left eye but it finally dissipated a lot and it's been a year.)

If you need peace of mind, see an eye doctor.  Just knowing nothing is physically wrong may help with healing anxiety.  Hang in there.

Oh yeah. It's common, and very disturbing.  My eyesight was bad during acute which lasted for about six weeks for me. I couldn't focus, so reading was nearly impossible, but it also was the symptom that cleared up the fastest for me.
