Jelly Legs and Arms.....

[Co...]

Recommended Posts

I am almost 15 months out and am still struggling with very weak legs and arms. Can't stand for more than a few minutes before getting all shaky and feeling like I am going to collapse. Can barely brush my teeth. PLEASE someone tell me that this does go away.  :-[ :'(

I am there with you at 16 months . I wish I knew why I went backwards. Hope we heal soon

That's exactly how I feel too. We can and will get through this.

I'm also at 16 months and still contending with this almost every day.  Very frustrating.  The Ashton Manual says that physical/neurological symptoms take the longest to go away, sometimes 3 or 4 years.  I'm praying that there's going to be a change some day.

I have had this in varying degrees throughout this ordeal, as well as having the feeling of "heavy legs and arms."  Once my heart calmed down a few months after my jump, I began to exercise my arms and legs.  By getting stronger, this symptom has become less bothersome.  If I exercise 6x per week, this jelly sensation is kept at bay for me.  If I go two days without exercise, everything feels weak again.

I've said this many times on benzo buddies, however, no one to date, has believed that strengthening our arms and legs will defeat this symptom on previous posts.  I strongly suggest that people try this, if jelly legs and arms are bothering them.
