Is this a window ?

Today I have been feeling a lot better . I had about 10-15 minutes of anxiety ( chest pain , headache , and dizziness ) and then started to feel better .  When driving from home from work I felt alot better and then started to walk with my fiancé I felt really good . I did not have to hold onto to him when waking . I was able to run a little with not much chest pain . I notice when I went uphill it hurted though . Very mild chest pain .  very mild dizziness . Very headache or very mild . My mind feel a little clearer but still still lots worry . I feel more connected to the world and feel happy . But I don't feel 100 %, I still feel dp and dr. Is this a window ? This has lasted for few hours now

Yay!!  Yes Tracey - and they come and go with some frustration (I thought I was getting better, which I was, but I always felt a little disappointed when I was plunged back into dealing with sx's), but the windows did eventually grow :smitten:

Will the dp and dr disappear ? That symtom is so annoying . Will we be back normal like before ?

Absolutely.    The DP and DR made me feel that I understood, perhaps, what dementia sufferers endure.    Part of the WD is the anxiety associated with thinking that we'll never get better.

I totally had that too, because we're so used to 'fixing' what is wrong with us, or at least working towards fixing anything that's wrong with our bodies.  With the WD, our nerves are sometimes tricking us with what's wrong (sensory nervous system),  giving us awful side effects that will just heal with time (central nervous system and motor nervous system).

I decided this was a challenge to my faith that it would get better, and it's been the greatest challenge laid down in my 62 years of many!!!  If we can 'keep the faith' and not give up, our windows do get greater and our sx's subside.  I researched this a great deal, but didn't 'really' believe it until it started happening, but I was functioning enough to realise that I had no choice but to talk myself into believing that I would get better.  Keep the faith Tracey - healing is happening xx xx xx

Thanks .  What about the memory and cognition issues ? I feel like don't remember things or where I am sometimes ...can't clearly remember what happened . I really hope this go away soon . For the last few hours my heart doesn't hurt like it used too :.. No dizziness ... But the dp and dr ad brain fog is still bad ...I'm in a mall and can't seem to remember clearly where I park ...wondering if this is dr and brain fog ...

About a month ago, my son was 'testing me' and saying 'I already told you that' etcetc., and I realised that my memory had been affected way more than I liked to admit;  but ALSO that it had returned (because i did remember what he'd told me, specifically).    But, for the 7-8 months prior, what I forgot was frightening, and I only remember some of it what I check my posts, or my calendar, or if someone reminds me!!  I seem to be much much much better.

The cogfog still happens sometimes, depending on my sleep and my digestion (if either is bad, my cog fog is worse), but generally, I have to move slower and more 'mindfully' in the mornings, write lists, tick them off, and don't beat myself up i.e. don't try to do what is just too hard.    I need to do things that make me feel better, not worse.  Strangely the evenings have always seemed better, then I get the pre-sleep anxiety;  once I 'forced' myself to do a sleep hygiene routine (unwind for an hour, go to bed early), there were improvements with that, even when I couldn't sleep (read, eat, don't panic).  Then I started going to sleep okay, but I'd wake and be WIDE awake.  That's also now dissipating xxx
