Good morning,

I'll like to know if I would get any withdrawals from this :

Feb: 0.75 mg Klonopin

1 mg o mexazolam (equals to 10 mg of diazepam or 0.5 clonazepam)

March: Had a colonoscopy and endoscopy ( Propafonol was used don't know if was mixed with midzazolam)

0.5 mg clonazepam

April:

1.5mg of mexazolam ( 1.25mg of clonazepam)

1.5 mg of clonazepam

TOTAL 5mg of clonazepam or 5.5 mg if midzazolam was used in my colonoscopy. Should I get any withdrawals from this?

Hello Sandy87,

Welcome to Benzo Buddies! If I understand correctly since February you have taken a total of 5mg  of clonazepam, is this correct? The time period is almost 3 months. I don't think you will have withdrawals from your sporadic usage over 3 months. Besides the colonoscopy what did you take benzodiazepines for?

The more often you take these types of drugs, the higher the risk for dependency. Once a physical dependency develops the risk for withdrawal also increases.

I'll give you a link to the Ashton Manual. The more you learn about these types of drugs the better you'll be in terms of deciding whether to take them or not. The manual was written by Dr. Heather Ashton, an expert in the field.

Please ask questions, we're here to help.

I'm sorry but I'm on my tablet and unable to copy the link, I'll do this as soon as I am home on my laptop.

I suffer from GAD, my shrink put me on them [+ Lexapro( Have never taking it)]. My family is forcing me to take them. I threw them away last night , I don't want this poison. Should I be worried?

Hi Sandy

Welcome from me too, I think you will be okay, so don't worry. You say you have taken a total 5 mgs clonazepam, I doubt you will have any withdrawal symptoms, but if you do experience any, they should ease off pretty rapidly.

I will give you some information to read, The Ashton Manual is an excellent resource and was written by an expert in the field. Professor Ashtons Manual
