Lee,

I'm so sorry that you've had such a hard time.

The intrusive thoughts are my worst symptom.  They have gotten better, which means that yours will too.

There are thousands of us here to help.

This is a really tough symptom...it can help to find a simple distraction to give your brain a break from the repetitive, fearful thoughts.  It won't make them go away, but it can help you to get through it a little easier.

Thanks guys I really appreciate your help .It's really difficult when you have no one I just hope my brain repairs .it feels every moment is torture.I find it hard to distract when your by yourself but I went down town today and sat for a hour just watching everyone sounds silly but it helped a tad.I try and sleep a lot to get away from this.

I had no one and I had a young teen to care for most of the time. It was truly torturous at times but I've gotten through the worst of it *and so will you*. I'm so glad you got out. I found help  - and still do - in "acting as if". Many of the things that used to calm me or make me feel normal weren't there or didn't work but I'd do them anyway, like try and lose myself in a favorite movie. It's hard with all the mental and emotional effects of w/d not to catastrophize and scare ourselves but it's really important to remember benzo withdrawal is a healing process albeit a lengthy one that happens to our brains that affects our minds and bodies and it will end. Freaking out just makes it much worse. Withdrawing multiple times and from multiple meds is harder but that statement is also true for each withdrawal of each med. Not having a doctor who gets it is hard but many of us are in that boat. Hang in there and you'll get through this!

me too.

my racing mind stoped 4 months after.

my intrusive still here, but 10-15 in a scale 0-100

it takes time. You have to be patient. I  recommend 5-htp, healthy food, exercice, water.
