Tinnitus

I'm so scared!  It has been over 13 months now since I jumped, and the tinnitus is worse than ever!  Is anybody else suffering from tinnitus at this point in their recovery?  It doesn't seem to be getting any better.  I have some short windows where it seems quieter, but then it comes back even louder than before.  I'm so discouraged.  I just cry every day.  I feel like I will never get over this.  I can't stand it!

I developed T when I cold turkeyed Ativan. Stayed off for seven weeks and reinstated. Didn't help the tinnitus any, and it's been six months. Ativan itself is known to cause hearing loss.  Often tinnitus is the last symptom to go they say.  Can I ask you a f you have discussed this with your physician, or maybe seen an audiologist or ENT just to rule out any other causes?

Also being anxious about the T only makes it louder.

Pumpkin2005, the same thing happened to me.  I developed tinnitus when I stopped Clonazepam the first time and had to reinstate.  The tinnitus lessened when I reinstated, but it didn't go away.  It got worse again when I stopped the second time.  I don't have hearing loss, and I can't imagine it's from anything else.  I don't trust doctors to even go to them anymore.  I have already wasted time and money.  Tinnitus seems to be a common withdrawal symptom from what I've read.  I just feel like I've had a worse case of it.

Hello,

I'm sorry you are dealing with that awful symptom.

I'm 7 months out and have had tinnitus all through the process, even when I was on klonopin.

Some days are worse than others but it is pretty much constant.

Hope you will find some relief soon.
